News of 15 August 2017

Citrix Linux VDA MCS based on MS Azure, Citrix XenDesktop 7.15 released, Citrix VDI Handbook updated and XenServer vulnerable.

Citrix Cloud Labs introduces a new service to quickly start testing Linux VDA deployment on Microsoft Azured (based on MCS technology).

Citrix also released XenDesktop/XenApp 7.15 and corresponding items like PVS 7.15. It is really wise to also check the deprecation list for this release, especially the W2012R2 support.

Based on XenDesktop/XenApp 7.15 a new version of the Citrix VDI Handbook and best practices became available as well (a must read in my opinion).

In the article XenApp Migration Survival Guide Rory Monaghan shares his experiences and tips and trick from migrating from XenApp 6.5 to XenDesktop 7.x.

Multiple Citrix XenServer Security Updates are released for a number of security vulnerabilities both in XenServer 6.x as XenServer 7.x.
